SHACK PHOTOS #2
Dave (NC4DT/KEV4884) sent these two shots of his one-of-a-kind mobile
operating station! Everything in this 'station on wheels' is 12-volt, used
for emergency/disaster work. Dave has quite an assortment of vintage
equipment, the newest some 20 years old. Even the trailer itself is a
vintage item - a 1964 Yellowstone! Great station, Dave! And kudos to
you for helping out in emergency situations - one of the finest uses for
radio communications!
Mario Decker and his son Philipp from Germany sent us this photo of their
enormous CB radio collection! This great wall of radios includes a Golden
Eagle Mark II, Golden Eagle Mark III, Golden Eagle Mark IV, R2700A and
R27/S23, among many, many other collectible rigs. Mario is the webmaster
of the CB Museum website - we have added a link to his site on our LINKS page.
Michael S., down in the 'sandpile' recently purchased and restored this
Browning R2700A and S-9! He reports it's shattering the airwaves!
Here's another of Michael S's. rigs - a Golden Eagle Mark III, complete with
VFO and Golden Eagle D-104!
Mick R. of WYNORADIO.COM fame sent this photo of his impressive
vintage collection. Besides being a vintage collector, Mick is also a radio DJ!
Ronnie C. aka '442' in Virginia has been a serious Browning collector for
a long time - always on the lookout for top-condition radios and Browning memorabilia. He's the only collector we know that has one of the very first Browning Dealership Banners with the original 'BL' logo!

From our friend, Uncle Jim (a fellow Okie, by the way!) a peek inside his shack!
Jim has several Brownings - an Eagle R27/S23, two Mark III's & a 4-Piece Mark II set! Jim is a guy you'd have to call a 'diehard' radio enthusiast - he's also webmaster of 'Fun With Uncle Jim' - included on our LINKS page - check it out!
