COMPANY HISTORY
Browning has been a world-recognized name in electronics since the 1920's, and was the second-oldest radio manufacturer in the United States, behind National Radio Company by only a few months! Dr. Glenn Browning, Dr. Frederick H. Drake and Major Edwin Armstrong were part of a very select and creative group of people who were years ahead of their time. Their theories and inventions became part of the backbone of electronics - both then and now. In 1954 ownership of Browning Laboratories, Inc. passed on to Gardiner G. Greene, Sr. He and his son, Gar Jr. continued the high standards of Browning's history with their renowned Browning CB equipment. Browning equipment of all types has the finest of reputations for workmanship and reliability and is considered highly collectible now. It is with great pride that we have carried this highly-respected name forward into the new millenium in honor of those who gave us so much.
